Outfit of the Day- kate spade Briella Dress

It was a cold, cold day so I had to wear my Great Grandmother's Leopard coat. I just had to show you a picture of it.  I love it so much but, rarely get to wear it here in Houston.  It is so heavy that you have to take it off in the car or you get too hot!
Today, I wore my Black kate spade Briella dress and red tights with my Coach bow flats.  The bag is the ksny All Typed Up Clyde.  I was wearing my ks daisy necklace and bow ring.  I think I should have been born with that ring on my finger, It just belongs there!
I went to the outlet mall and bought a few kate spade goodies and a J Crew shirt for my son. He is 17 and very handsome. Of course that is a mom speaking... you know how kids have their "types", well Harrison is one of the musician, video game, change the world types.  He is starting to like clothes and style more so that is exciting for me.  He really likes Urban Outfitters and J Crew.  He wants to be a lawyer so he will need to learn how to dress as part of his education right?  At least that is what I keep telling him!
this is harrison with his cute little girlfriend kaitlin
I already have my daughter trained as you know if you are a regular reader.  She is my side-kick, partner in crime etc...
maddy is always stylin!
Madeline is wearing a skirt that I am thinking of adding to my collection on etsy.  I made a sample to see if I like it enough to add it to my shop's offerings.  Def. for summer but she was giving it a trial run for me so she styled it for winter.  We have so much fun playing with clothes!

I hope you are staying warm and cozy!  If you are bored, go play with your closet!
Live Colorfully!

Your children are fabulous, such a precious gift.

Your skirts posted...I'm planning on the red and black! Just have to wait until Feb starts! You've inspired me to wear my clothes and to dress myself up.
As a music teacher and christian educator, those kids need to a colorful teacher, right? RIGHT!

Great post.

Hilary, I used to teach music at a Christian school! The children were so much fun! I loved getting dressed up to brighten their days. They looked forward to coming to my class because it was different than the rest of their day and I think I was different than the average teacher too! :) I agree that you should be colorful!

I just have to say how beautiful your children are, and your daughter is CLEARLY styling, but without looking like she tried at all, which is my favorite type of styling!!! :) Clearly the apples do not fall far from the tree, lucky kids! :) I also wanted to thank you for the videos, they have been a BLAST to watch. LOVE. You are great and the clothes are adorably amazing. And bags. and shoes! Thank you for putting the thought and work into them. I am 'Kelly' over on the comment section of KateSpadeLoveAffair- how awesome is Ann? You two are amazing. I just 'discovered' the Kate Spade brand this past summer, and only just started buying a few pieces here and then, but now, I feel like I want so many in the spring line, and January line, its crazy! Your blogs and tips help SO much! Take care! Kelly

Kelly, you are a doll! Thanks for the sweet comments! I just love Ann from kate spade love affair! She really stays on top of things especially the kate spade bags. She has so many! I am more into the clothes, shoes, jewelry, homegoods etc...lol! I am making my wishlist right now for spring. I have to decide once and for all what I am going to save $$$ for so I don't get distracted and buy something that isn't on my list. It sure takes planning and strategy to make a great wardrobe!

Ann is AWESOME. I found you through her! She is completely on top of the latest and has the best taste in the accessories, I always love what she loves. The one thing I completely forgot to put in my post was how drop dead seriously crazy amazing your great grandmother's coat is. What a treasure to have anything special from a great grandmother, but that coat?!?! Holy moly, its ...no words. I am sure you get that a lot. Thanks bunches for taking a photo and sharing it with us! - Kelly
