I am excited to announce a new member of my family, Lady Olivia Royalty! She is an 11 week old standard poodle. Isn't she just a sweetheart? We are bringing her home from Houston Poodle Rescue on Tuesday. She is a live wire so I hope I am ready for her. Mark asked if I was ready to have one of my Kate Spade bags chewed up...
On a sad note, we lost our beloved Fifi on Thursday night to a very unexpected stroke. I have been a basket-case since then and Mark thought we should quickly adopt to ease my pain. Good decision! It has helped me stop the crying already and I can't wait to be Olivia's mommy. She is so different than Fifi and much much bigger!

Awwww, i'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Your new baby is adorable and while she can't replace Fifi, I'm glad you have her to help deal with your loss. She's adorable.
I am so sorry that fifi has left your family and so quickly and unexpectedly. Many many hugs to you. I am glad your loving husband and family are there to support you and that you are welcoming a new family member into your home. Lady Olivia is beautiful and she seems to have very sophisticated tastes so I don't believe she will touch any of your kate spade purses! Look at that wubbie face! Awwwww....!! Oh, Sandee, I'm so sorry to hear about Fifi. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet. I hope Lady Olivia will help ease the grieving process. I know that eventually adopting our present cat helped me a lot to recover from losing my childhood kitty.

I absolutely adore this! I have a one year old black standard and my husband and i love her like a real baby (literally, we're trying to wean her from co-sleeping lol) I would love to know where you got your ceramic poodles by your fireplace in many of your photos. They're super wonderful!
