While on vacation last week I designed three limited edition Katie skirts! Two are gold for the kate spade new york color of the month and one is a dark chocolate and brown stripe. Today I wore the Gold Damask Katie Skirt with my Beeline cardigan and some sparkly black kate spade bow flats. I carried my gold Quinn for even more sparkle.
The new Katie skirts are very special and I will only make three of each fabric. I added a lace hem treatment inside to make it even more special. The fabrics are a dressier taffeta that swish when you walk. The one I am wearing today is flocked with velvet damask in gold. It is so pretty and vintage inspired!
I will be making the skirts available for purchase sometime this week. I will let you know when they are listed with all the photos and descriptions. It takes so long to get all that together! I am having fun doing it though and really like the planning and design process too. It is the sewing that bogs me down...oh well, I am back to the sewing machine. Today I am sewing a yellow Katie Skirt for Ann from katespadeloveaffair.com two skirts were not enough for her, she needed another one! Yay Ann!
Great, my 17 year old son just saw me in my skirt and said I look like I am wearing a sofa from the 90's!
Have a colorful day!
