What I wore: Cheesy Santa Skirt, black cardigan and bow blouse, red ksny tights, ksny heels and kate spade Peacock Quinn purse

Spreading a little Christmas cheer with my newly made Santa skirt!
Here is a close-up of the skirt fabric...Jolly isn't it!
I had some time to sew over the Thanksgiving weekend so I whipped up this little Santa skirt for Christmas shopping.  I love the vintage look of the fabric.  I got it at JoAnn's for a total cost of $7.00!!!  I ended up pairing the skirt with a black bow blouse and cardigan with red tights and shoes.  I tried the red sweater too but it was just too "merry and bright" for me today.  The gifts Santa is carrying are the peacock color of my kate spade Quinn so I brought it along to tie everything together.  When I was visiting the fabric store, I spotted the cutest mushroom fabric so I am going back to get some to make another kitschy skirt.  I like them for everyday because so much of my kate spade is silk and not great for staying at home all day, doing housework.  I don't want to get carried away but.... I always do.
