What I Wore: Pink floral skirt, black boat-neck tee, kate spade quinn

Here I was running out the door to pick up lunch at Wendy's.  We love their new fries!  The rest of the day yesterday we all watched Star Wars Episodes 4-6.  It was really fun to relax and hang out with the family.  I am preparing to go out of town next week so packing and organizing is the order of the day today.  I also have to finish up several skirt orders and mail them before I leave.  That means I will be sewing instead of shopping.  I wish there was a kate spade shopping network that I could watch while working at the sewing machine.  That way I could see all the products and order something without leaving the sewing room!  I am going to reward myself with a Sonic drink during happy hour if I get all my work done!

this ring is in a lime green instead of the blue. I couldn't find a pic of the right color. The green matches several pair of sandals that I have already in my closet.

I started shopping at the kate spade store at the houston galleria on Friday and visited the outlet on Saturday and shopped katespade.com on Monday.  I missed out on a couple of items new to the sale section because I didn't act fast enough.  I am looking for the pink and white stripe jillian but missed the size 6.  The prices were so great this weekend everywhere I went.  Nordstrom was having their twice a year sale and the spring ksny pieces were quite discounted.  They were lower there than in the ksny store.  I felt bad not spending my money at the kate spade store and dumping it at Nordstrom.  It was too good to pass up though.  I love a good deal!  It means more kate spade!

People amaze me...

Also, through Friday the 27th at retail stores and online use the code glamfb20 to get 20% off one full price item. It is a code you get when you "like" glamour magazine on facebook.  I just liked it and then got the code and then un-liked it.  Totally worth it because I am headed to the galleria tomorrow to visit kate spade again.

what I wore: kate spade Cape May Ronnie Dress, Orange Target sweater, kate spade elephant purse

I tried a little brown and orange combo today.  The Cape May Ronnie dress from last summer with a beaded sweater from Target that I picked up in early spring. My shoes are Trish of Capri for Target and they sport cute pineapples with crystal stones in them. I wore my amber Lady Marmalade ring and earrings to keep up the brown color scheme. Lloyd the elephant looks quite at home with the color brown.  It is almost as if I need a safari print Maxi dress or something like that to go with him.  I might make a leopard print Katie skirt to wear with the elephant basket! I think that might be really cute.

Isn't he cute!  I decided that his name is Lloyd in honor of Deborah Lloyd the Creative director at ksny.  Thanks to Emily who commented with the idea!!! I wore my Black Fossil wedges that have a wicker heel and they really complimented the bag. I love his little black eyes.  His trunk is hollow so I was thinking of sticking a silk daisy flower in it for fun.  My Neda wallet does not fit inside so I will have to get a smaller one to switch to in the summer.   I like the Gingham Katie skirt with the basket purses.  It seems to fit, kind of a "picnic to the zoo" type of look. lol!

I am going to stop sewing Katie skirts for awhile so I can enjoy my summer trips and relax.  If you have been waiting to order, NOW would be a good time to get your request in before I hit the beach here in Galveston.  I have several plaid Katies planned for the fall and some other designs as well (wait till you see the caplets in plaid!)  I will be launching those in Late August.

Lloyd the elephant and I will be relaxing and enjoying the Texas heat and taking a few trips.  Michigan and Arizona are planned so far.  I plan on hitting the kate spade shops in those states while I am out and about!

Blog Sale Starting Friday 5/20! I'm Cleaning out my closet to get ready for summer

I am having a blog sale starting on Friday May 20th! I need to do it right away so I don't get tempted to keep any of it...
I will be selling several kate spade and lilly Pulitzer items as well as some Target finds and random stuff.  I will be listing it on Friday morning and items will be first come first serve.  The clothing sizes vary from 6-10 and shoes are size 6. There will be lots of accessories for those of you who don't wear those sizes! New kate spade cup and saucer set- Thanks Hubby!'.

The ups man delivered a surprise the other day from my sweet Hubby!  It was a box from Lenox.com with two awesome kate spade tea cups inside.  These cups are so pretty and colorful as can be expected from kate spade.  One cup has a black and white striped saucer and the other a yellow and white.  The art on these tea cups is lovely.  One is a grouping of pictures in frames and the other some potted plants including a green topiary tree.  I am a tea drinker so these cups will get daily use along with my kate spade mugs that I got around Christmastime.  There are other tea cups in this collection but these two are my favorite. I ordered the Elephant Basket!

I used the twitter discount and ordered the elephant basket this morning!  I was so disappointed last weekend when I missed out on the little elephant at my kate spade boutique.   They had just sold the last one before I got there.  I left empty handed but couldn't get the little cutie out of my mind!  The twitter discount was just what I needed to make my move and order.  Now I need help thinking of a name.  Is it a she or he?  Any ideas of a cute name for my new "royal plantation elephant basket"?
