It took 45 min to get in the store and 45 min in line to check out!

When I spotted this Call Me purse, It was all worth it! I can see Mark  standing in line for me in the background of this pic.  He was a real good shopper that night!  He loves a good deal on kate spade.

Black Friday sales were amazing at the kate spade outlet in Houston!  All the girls there were working so hard and the guy in the stock room got a real work-out from going back and forth re-stocking the merch.  But the shoppers...now,they are the real troopers!  Some people had arms full of bags and stood in line without a complaint for what seemed like forever.  The front of the store you could walk around in but the back, it was full of people standing in line.  I waited and shopped the back while standing there and found a great Iphone case for $15.  I also got this dress for under $100!

We visited a few other stores but didn't find anything as good as our ksny outlet purchases.  I still can't believe how cute that telephone bag is!  I am getting it for Christmas so I can't use it until Santa comes.  Booo Hooo!  I am going to get out my Clyde Typewriter bag to help ease my pain and carry it all of December.  I have decided to have my own color of the month combo for December and am going to make tons of red, black and cream outfits.  Then everything will match my Clyde and my Call Me Chase too!

I had some time to sew over the Thanksgiving weekend so I whipped up this little Santa skirt for Christmas shopping.  I love the vintage look of the fabric.  I got it at JoAnn's for a total cost of $7.00!!!  I ended up pairing the skirt with a black bow blouse and cardigan with red tights and shoes.  I tried the red sweater too but it was just too "merry and bright" for me today.  The gifts Santa is carrying are the peacock color of my kate spade Quinn so I brought it along to tie everything together.  When I was visiting the fabric store, I spotted the cutest mushroom fabric so I am going back to get some to make another kitschy skirt.  I like them for everyday because so much of my kate spade is silk and not great for staying at home all day, doing housework.  I don't want to get carried away but.... I always do.

I picked up a new favorite bag at the Black Friday sale at the kate spade outlet here in Houston.  It is a special edition Call Me Chase handbag.  I had not seen it before but you can imagine how I just had to have it immediately! It really reminds me of my All Typed Up Clyde typewriter bag.  The telephone dial is actually 3D with gold metal trim around the number buttons!  It has the same acrylic licence plate label as my Clyde and the same detachable strap. Have any of you ever seen this bag? I am thinking it is "outlet only" like my owl purse from last fall.  I can't believe it is not in retail stores because it is just soooo amazing!  There is a crossbody version also that is much smaller.  I went for the big one because it is the size of my typewriter bag and works great for me! Give an outlet a call, they may still have some...

kate spade sample sale started today! Cyber Monday begins Sunday!

Sample sale has begun!  Cyber monday sale started on Sunday!  They did this last year and by the time I got around to ordering, everything was gone!!! This year, there is really nothing I can't live without so...I hope you find something.  It is so nice when things are this reduced!  You can usually get more than one thing and stock up.  I spent all my $$$ at the outlet on Thanksgiving eve so I am not purchasing today.  Enjoy!

Love the new @katespadeny video Give Colorfully!

@katespadeny Guide to living colorfully book is a great read!

I picked up this little book at the kate spade store here in Houston this week and have just finished reading all the little booklets inside.  They are full of fun ideas for decorating, entertaining and fashion.  There are ideas for travel and being charming also.  It is a great gift but be sure to pick up one for yourself too!  I like the individual books inside because one book is just the right length for a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a cookie.  That means 5 treat breaks!
Pick one up online or in store but hurry, they will go fast!

New "Color Full" color of the month and New arrivals at katespade.com

This little hedgehog coin purse is the most unique thing in the new arrivals for November.  It comes in spearmint and  berry as well as this dark Lapis blue.  Who would have thought....

What I wore: Beaded Cardi and Black and white stripe skirt, Yellow kate spade quinn and yellow tights

The color in this picture is soooo off but the tights and the purse really did match!  This sweater has beautiful silver beading all over the front. The skirt is my new design with box pleats and a side zipper.  I am making two more out of different fabrics to try it out.  
I have been really into yellow and black since painting a yellow stripe wall in my guest room.  I wore the combo yesterday too.  I was thinking of changing all my Christmas decorations to yellow and black but I have so many colorful pieces from last year that I just have to use them at least one more time.
Have you ever heard of Land's End Canvas?  I have only just seen the amazing cardigans and cute plaid dresses that they have.

It is a silk and cotton combo and has a lovely sheen and richness to it.  The cardigans they have are amazing and cut fitted like the J Crew Jackie.  Here is an example of one:

The regular price is only $39 but a ton of them are on sale for $19!!! I had 7 in my shopping cart but decided not to go overboard...yet.

What I wore Sunday: @katespadeny Briella Dress in Purple

I wore my Briella dress on Sunday to church and it was so comfortable!  I find that it tends to be dark so I added a contrasting pink flower from Claire's and my Hot pink kate spade Quinn.  This Quinn is from 2009 but I love, love the pink color!  I think it is called Hyacinth.  It adds just enough pop to brighten up the dark purple.  I added black tights and then wore my Coach plaid bow flats to be comfortable.  I was going to wear my purple kate spade heels but opted for comfort instead.  I am getting old, I think.

Bloomingdales.com has the kate spade sweaters with the cute sayings on them!  They are $195 and made of a wool and cashmere blend.  I think this one is my favorite!  I just love the green!

Bloomies also has the navy (December color of the month) Jillian dress.  I really like this one with the purple sweater!  It makes it more holiday but add a bright green or pink and get a more spring-y look.
